Certified Yoga Teacher and Reiki Master

She earned her 200-hour level yoga teacher certification with the Prannothan School of Yoga in 2014 and is currently enrolled in advanced yoga teacher training at Metrowest Yoga. April trained as a Reiki Master and Master Teacher with Libby Barnett, a Reiki Master from the Usui tradition. She works with individual clients, but also enjoys combining restorative yoga with Reiki through special workshops and classes. April is also a mother of two children, a part-time graphic designer, and a long-distance runner. She enjoys sharing the healing practices of yoga and Reiki with others, and focuses on providing a non-judgmental space for individuals to cultivate ease in the body and mind. Jen Mast

Stepping onto the mat everyday has allowed me to stay grounded in the things that are truly important. Diagnosed with an autoimmune disease over a decade ago, my life took an unpredictable turn.  Things that were easy became difficult and I felt as though I had lost part of myself.  It was during this time that I deepened my spiritual practice. Yoga helped to heal the aches and pains that came with autoimmunity, it improved my energy, my mood and it allowed me to show up each day for my friends, loved ones and most importantly myself.  Yoga’s transformational abilities led me on a new path to become a yoga instructor combining my past work as a Licensed Social Worker with my new path in yoga therapy, functional movement through yoga and myofascial release.  As we bring all levels of a person’s being into balance, true healing occurs. Moving beyond illness and discomfort, we are able to live life to our fullest expression.

Jen completed her 500-hour at Kripalu with Integrative Yoga Therapy (IYT) in 2016 where she trained under Joseph and Lillian LePage and Maria Mendola (Integrative Functional Yoga Therapy).  Jen furthered her study and attended an intensive training with Maria in Tucson, learning various techniques for myofascial release, therapeutic movements and exercises to rebalance alignment and long held patterns.  In 2018, Jen completed a weekend training in The Roll Model Method®  and a Ball Rolling Techniques Workshop with David Vendetti – both for myofascial release. Her extensive work with athletes, injuries and chronic illness in both group and private settings inform her teaching style which infuses safety, mindfulness, alignment principals, unique uses of props and functional therapeutic movements, and of course a lot of humor and fun!

Amy Yapp

Certified Radiance Technique Reiki/IET Healer

When Amy first tried a yoga class as a busy, young elementary school teacher many years ago, she decided it “wasn’t for her”. Ten years later and recovering from some serious health challenges, she decided to give “that yoga thing” another try. It was that second class after a decade hiatus that profoundly changed her life. She walked away standing taller, breathing better and knowing she had found something integral to her healing and to her future. A born teacher, Amy couldn’t help sharing what she had experienced with others and began teaching yoga in 2003. Amy completed her 200-hour teacher training with Johnny Gillespie and Diana Hoscheit of Empowered Yoga. Amy is a certified Radiance Technique Reiki/IET healer and recently became certified as a Roll Model Method® Practitioner with a passion for helping people to address pain and tension through myofascial release. Always focused on healing and prevention, Amy’s teaching has a strong foundation built upon alignment-based poses and tension relieving breath work to restore and empower her students at their own pace. Delight and connection are at the heart of every class!

Christine Harrelson

Yoga Teacher

Christine has been working with the human body since 2001, first as a competitive gymnastics coach and then as a yoga instructor. She found yoga in 2004 because she heard it could help with depression and mental well-being. It helped her bring herself to a state of well-being – and it stuck! Her experience with high-level gymnastics led her to focus on preventing injury in bodies that were put through 20+ hours of rigorous physical training a week. She has brought that into her yoga teachings, using her knowledge of biomechanics (how the body moves) and anatomy to guide students to have their own experience based on their unique physical and mental needs.  Christine completed her 200 RYT with Dr. Paul Girard, and her 300 RYT and Yin Yoga training with Theresa Murphy. She is also a certified Level 3 Thai Bodyworker.

Pat Lebau

Kripalu Certified Yoga Teacher

Pat is a Kripalu certified Yoga teacher with over 700 hours of training in Yoga, Reiki, and Yoga anatomy and has been teaching since 2008.   Pat is also an Integrated Positional Therapy (IPT) certified Practitioner, trained by Lee Albert at Kripalu.  Her Yoga classes are deeply influenced by IPT awareness of common pain patterns and how to relieve them. She has a BS and MS in Wildlife Biology.  Yoga is her third career after  a decade in Environmental Planning and another working with Autistic children, Pat has found her way from a life long Yoga and Meditation practice to teaching and is honored to share the techniques she has gathered over the years to help travel through this mystery of life.  Each class is crafted bring you to a place of balance in body, mind and spirit.

Kathy Hirsh

Yoga Instructor

Kathy is a RYT 200 yoga instructor from Yoga Alliance. She comes from a fitness background with certifications in Kick Boxing, Indoor Cycling, and Les Mills Body Pump and Body Flow. While she has worked mostly with adults, Kathy is also certified to teach children and seniors. Kathy took her first yoga class in 2000 after a sports related knee injury and ACL surgery. Up until that injury, Kathy had been avoiding yoga, thinking that it “wasn’t for her” for a variety of reasons. She was so surprised that she liked yoga and how it made her mind and body feel, that she started to practice regularly. Kathy enjoyed her personal practice so much that when her favorite yoga instructor moved away in 2007, she decided to build on her yoga and got certified to teach. Kathy wants people to feel relaxed in her class and laugh from time to time, to accept that the yoga practice will be or feel different from day to day, and to nourish themselves and treat themselves with compassion on the mat and off.

Carol Waite

Svaroopa ® Yoga Instructor

I have been teaching Svaroopa ® Yoga since 2002 when I began teacher training at the Foundations level.  I came to yoga originally because of an old knee injury that while it no longer hurt it still didn’t feel right.  Not the way my other knee felt.  After my first class I felt an immediate improvement and new there was more to this yoga then “stretching”.

After several years of taking class I began teacher training at Master Yoga Foundation, now Svaroopa® Vidya Ashram becoming a Certified Svaroopa® Yoga Teacher in 2004 and a Certified Svaroopa® Yoga Therapist in 2014. Since I began teaching I have worked at several different studios and have shared Svaroopa ® Yoga with hundreds of students.  I personally love to learn new things and love that my job allows me to teach students something that is so different for many of them.  Teaching them not just the poses and how to do them but some of the basic anatomy and philosophy that supports Svaroopa ® Yoga.  My confidence and use of yoga to help maintain my health comes from my own personal experience as well as the benefits I see my students experience every day.  Though yoga is not medicine it can definitely be used to compliment traditional medicine and therapies. I love sharing Svaroopa® Yoga with my students and seeing the benefits that everyone can get from it.

Georgia Jones

Kripalu Yoga Instructor

Georgia Jones lives in Stow, MA.  Before moving her practice to Synergy Wellness Center, she was owner/teacher for six years at Self Compassion Yoga here in Hudson, MA. Georgia began practicing yoga in 1999 as an alternative treatment to a medical condition (the result of too many hours spent sitting at a desk in front of a computer).  She was simply hoping it would help and had no idea of the impact it would have on her life. The changes it brought to her physical and mental self were so profound it has stayed with her ever since and she continues to practice yoga in some form each and every day.

Georgia draws her inspiration from many styles of yoga and through countless extraordinary teachers. Her skills as an artist and graphic designer contribute to her ability to bring a stimulating and creative experience to her students on the mat.  With a focus on alignment and modifications to meet her students where they are in their practice, her classes are physically challenging while remaining accessible to all levels.

Georgia has more than 500 hours of certified yoga teacher training. She holds her 300 hour certificate through the Professional Teacher Training Program at Down Under School of Yoga in Brookline, MA and her 200 hour certificate through Kripalu Yoga in Stockbridge, MA.

Valerie Kacian

Yoga Instructor

Valerie started her yoga practice in 2001 shortly after the birth of her daughter. Initially seeking balance to round out a heavy cardio fitness routine, she got SO much more in return. She has a special interest in working with students within their own range of motion tapping into pure, functional movement in the body. Valerie believes that anyone can practice and experience the great benefits of yoga. She uses a whole-hearted approach to encourage her students to connect deeply to movement within their own bodies. Valerie teaches vinyasa flow, slow flow, power flow, and prenatal yoga. Valerie completed her 200 hour YTT in 2018 with Cindy Boulter and completed prenatal training with Lorraine Shedoudi at Revolution Community Yoga.

Leslii Stevens

Yoga saved my right leg! From the very first moment I stepped onto my mat (2015) I knew I had found a place where I belonged. After finding that, not only did I find an avenue for physical relief, but I also found a place where living with PTSD had a safe space for emotional relief as well. Yoga has literally saved my life. After discovering all the magic yoga had to give, I made it a personal commitment to practice daily. By integrating yoga, boxing and meditation along with my artistic background, I have now learned to teach others the simple benefits that yoga has to offer.

I bring with me a strong experience in body movement and flow. I walked away from a very exciting but very stressful job as a Concert/Tour Photographer in the music world, and the very next day walked into my first Yoga Teacher Training Class.  At the age of 50!  I received my 200hr Yoga Teacher Training (2018) with Cindy Boulter, BS., ERYT 500 at Revolution Community Yoga in West Acton MA. I am currently continuing my studies, by taking the 300hr Yoga Teacher Training with Theresa Murphy and I also do private strength training, weight lifting, kick-boxing and boxing classes with Flaviano Silva, at Title Boxing Club in Littleton. In addition, I am constantly learning from my daughter, Triniti who, is an amazing dancer, and teaches me so much more about life being a wonderful journey on a daily basis. Whether it be freedom from our daily stress, negative thoughts or just liberation of movement or the ultimate experience of who we really are, I hope to allow my knowledge with yoga, boxing and meditation to help bring joy, hope, calmness and comfort to our everyday modern lives.

Eileen Nikopoulos

Yoga Teacher

Eileen Nikopoulos, RYT 500 has been teaching yoga since 2010.  She studied Yoga of Energy Flow with Daniel Orlansky and achieved RYT 500 in 2014.  Eileen became a certified Traditional Thai Yoga practitioner in 2014.  She has BS in Exercise Science/Nutrition and is a Certified Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist.  Eileen completed training in Yin Yoga with Josh Summers and has studied Yoga Therapeutics with Doug Keller, Liz Owen and Todd Norian.  Eileen also loves swimming, cycling and hiking. Her classes are peaceful yet energizing.

Lisa Campbell

Meditation and Mindfulness Instructor, Holistic Health Teacher

Lisa Campbell is a Meditation and Mindfulness Instructor, Holistic Health Teacher, Course Advisor for the McLean Meditation Institute, US Air Force veteran, and founder of Mindfulfilled Meditation, LLC.  On a mission to bring lasting peace and joy to the world, Lisa’s classes are experiential, educational, insightful, and fun.  She is a regular guest speaker and presenter on the benefits of meditation and mindfulness, and teaches in schools, homes, businesses, yoga studios, wellness centers, and for yoga and veteran retreats.  She works with all ages and abilities (especially those dealing with trauma and PTSD) to open hearts through practices of compassion and lovingkindness, and to open minds through practices of meditation and self-inquiry. A graduate of the McLean Meditation Institute; a Kripalu-certified Holistic Health Teacher; and a Warriors at Ease Trauma-Informed Meditation Teacher, Lisa’s heart-mind approach is based in more than 30 years of dedicated spiritual practice and meditation.  She is a loving wife, mother, and doting caretaker of three cats, a hedgehog, guinea pig, and assorted fish.

Joanna Losty

Yoga and Pilates Instructor

Things that Joanna Losty is most passionate about:

Why such love for yoga? A lifelong athlete, competitor and lover of fitness, Joanna’s path changed a bit when she discovered the magic of yoga in her early 20’s (a million years ago.) Once craving just the physical benefits of a strong workout, Joanna began to crave the way yoga created balance and helped to quiet and calm the mind. There is a magical energy and peace created when moving, breathing, and acting mindfully… and it’s become the most dependable anchor in Joanna’s life. Motherhood, marriage, work….life in general are so much more manageable with a daily practice and a few deep breaths!

Joanna’s intention as a teacher is to create a sense of calm strength and confidence for all students…to combine a sense of playfulness, spirituality, and a dose of inspiration into your day, and most importantly, to have you stepping off your mat feeling stronger, nourished and refreshed.  Her classes are designed to create a balance between strength and softness, movement and stillness, with the hopes of using breath to find our way out of our minds and into the present moment.

Joanna has been teaching group fitness classes since 2008. She has completed trainings in mat Pilates, weight lifting, yoga for children with special needs, and her 200 hour yoga teacher training. She considers herself a lifelong student, however, and hopes that her love of learning translates into intelligent, creative, and joyful classes!
