Clinical Director
Job Title: Clinical Director
Department: Therapy
Reports to: Senior Director
The Clinical Director provides clinical leadership to the clinical and non-clinical team members of our mental health counseling team, balancing quality of care, clinician and staff support, compliance, clinical and intake operations, in line with the company’s strategy, goals, and values. This is a co-leadership role with the Practice Manager.
Primary Responsibilities:
● Provide clinical oversight of treatment, quality outcomes for clients, HIPAA and licensing compliance, guide clinical decision making and treatment protocols
● Ensure legal, ethical and professional standards are met (reporting, scope of practice)
● Evaluate for continuous improvement of all processes and procedures
● Establish and enforce crisis management and safety protocols
● Serve as clinical escalation point for high risk cases and clinic’s risk management
● Provide individual therapy to clients in person and telehealth
● Supervise the team’s supervisors, mentor clinicians’ professional growth, oversee pre-licensed clinician’s supervision requirements
● Identify training needs, coordinate continuing education within scope of training budget
● Support clinician well-being and stress reduction to prevent burnout
● Ensure the team’s timely, high quality and clinically compliant documentation, including diagnostic accuracy and treatment planning competency, and alignment between diagnosis, treatment interventions, and billed CPT codes
● Provide team and individual feedback to highlight clinical strengths and areas of clinical improvement following semi-annual chart audits and as situations arise
● Develop, update and implement systems, policies, and procedures into Standard Operating Procedures to ensure consistent, efficient and effective workflows
● Foster a healthy, ethical, supportive clinical culture, clinician retention, modeling professionalism and values, supporting diversity, equity and inclusion in clinical practice
● Lead clinical team meeting, peer supervision and supervisor meetings, in collaboration with Practice Manager
● Ensure collaborative communication between the Intake, Medical Billing and Clinicians
● Participate in company Manager and other meetings as appropriate
● Provide clinical coverage when Practice Manager and Supervisors are unavailable
● Represent the Therapy department at community and networking events
● Assist with outreach to local physician, psychiatric and other referral partners to establish trust, credibility and profitable referral relationships
● Collaborate with the Marketing team to promote staff and team expertise; serve as the public face of the Therapy team to expand the company’s influence as mental health experts; educate internally and externally about services and interventions
● Oversee and provide new staff orientation regarding policies, documentation standards, clinical culture, introduction to Intake team, EHR requirements and general expectations
● Respond to client complaints, clinical incidents, external record requests and audits
● Manage performance reviews, support Supervisors in addressing employees’ work
performance issues, provide feedback in a supportive corrective manner
● Monitor caseloads, progress notes, client retention, clinical outcomes, clinician productivity, financial performance and KPI’s to meet company’s clinical goals
● Advise leadership on payer strategy, service expansion, program development, hiring
needs, waitlists and specialty gaps
● Utilize Asana to monitor intake process and to communicate across the Company

Qualifications:
● Master’s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or Counseling Psychology
● Licensure including LICSW, LMHC or LMFT
● Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience
● Minimum 2-5 years of management experience, demonstrated leadership, record of providing clinical trainings, team oversight, revenue generation
● Prior participation in manager training
● A record of diverse work experience
● Clinical experience with clients from ages 5 through adulthood
● Specific training and experience with the following treatment modalities: IFS, EMDR, ACT, CBT, DBT, and Somatic practices
● A record of overseeing successful administrative and clinical operations
● Demonstrated experience developing, reviewing and training on the development of quality clinical treatment plans, assessments and progress notes
● Desire to work in an innovative, integrative services company committed to client and employee wellness
● Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement
● Warm, friendly and thoughtful demeanor to facilitate exemplary customer service in a calm yet fast-paced environment
● Excellent written and interpersonal communication

Physical Requirements:

● Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
Work Schedule:
● This position is 32 hours per week consisting of a minimum of 18 hours per week of
completed sessions with clients in person or telehealth, and a blend of administrative and supervisory hours, with approximately 4 supervisory hours and 10 administrative hours, supervising a maximum of 5 Supervisees.

Synergy seeks an energetic part time Licensed Massage Therapist who places a high value on wellness of mind, body and spirit, and has a minimum of 2 years experience providing massage therapy.
We are looking for someone who is available to work Mondays 2 PM–7 PM, Fridays 9 AM–5 PM and Saturdays 9AM -1PM (once or twice a month). There may be additional opportunities to work as part of our Workplace Wellness and Community initiatives.

In Person Part Time Child & Adolescent Mental Health Clinician (Licensed or Pre-Licensed)

We are expanding our group practice with part-time Licensed and Pre-Licensed Outpatient Clinicians for in person positions. These positions will work with our clients who are five through young adulthood. There are opportunities to work late afternoons, early evenings and/or Saturday mornings. The position will be based in both our Hudson and Bolton locations.

Job Summary:
The Child Mental Health Clinician will provide in person therapeutic services to youth facing emotional, behavioral, and mental health issues. The Clinician will assess clients’ needs, develop treatment plans, and offer guidance to help individuals manage their emotional well being and improve their quality of life.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
● Maintains and independently schedules caseload of clients.
● Utilizes Electronic Health Record to maintain all scheduled appointments and completes discharge process for Outpatient Counseling clients as necessary.
● Updates the Intake Team of any current and upcoming openings.
● Maintains a schedule and caseload of clients as discussed upon hire.
● Independently manages schedule and booking of client sessions.
● Conducts initial assessments to understand clients’ needs and concerns.
● Provides therapy sessions using evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
● Develops and implements personalized treatment plans based on clients’ unique needs.
● Communicates and follow-ups with parents and/or guardians are needed.
● Adjusts treatment plans quarterly and as necessary in response to clients’ progress and changing needs.
● Completes and submits all required documentation including session notes and discharge notes in a thorough and timely manner as outlined in the “Timely Documentation Policy.”
● Stays current with advancements in mental health research and best practices.
● Attends professional development training and pursues continuing education opportunities.
● Subscribes to expectations outlined in the discipline’s Code of Ethics.
● Attends and participates in bi-weekly staff meetings; attendance at peer supervision and training times is encouraged.
● Meets with Supervisor at agreed upon frequency to discuss cases.

● Required to have a Master’s Degree in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields such as Social Work or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited college or university.
● Clinical license in the state of MA (LICSW, LMHC, LMFT) preferred.
● Previous experience working with children.
● Experience completing diagnostic assessments,
treatment plans and clinical case notes required.
● Strong attention to detail and demonstrated
organizational skills with proven ability to complete and submit documentation of services and other documents in a timely manner
● Effective written and verbal communication skills
● Ability to demonstrate and model stable, appropriate
boundaries with clients
● Comfort and familiarity working with a diverse client
base
● Ability to be collaborative with other clinicians and
develop creative ways to promote excellent client care
● Proficient in the use of email and Electronic Health
Record systems (JANE experience a plus!)
● Fully Licensed Clinicians will be credentialed by
Synergy Wellness Center with insurance panels.
